These terms apply to your use of Pollen Bear. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Informational use only
Pollen Bear provides environmental, pollen, weather, air-quality, symptom-tracking, and local planning information for general planning and informational use. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency alerts, emergency guidance, or a medical device.
Data availability
Provider data may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or unavailable in certain countries and locations. Area estimates and modeled markers are approximate and should not be treated as exact live measurements.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use information from Pollen Bear. Follow professional medical guidance and emergency instructions where applicable.
Local profile and account access
Local profile data, display name, check-ins, streaks, achievements, and saved triggers are intended for personal use on your device. Some access features may require Sign in with Apple and a server account session so Pollen Bear can provide app access, account-based free access eligibility, restore access, and account deletion.
Pollen Bear Premium
Pollen Bear Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Pollen Bear may also provide a 3-day free access period if you are eligible. Unless a separate Apple introductory offer is shown during purchase, the free access period is provided by Pollen Bear and is not an App Store subscription trial. After purchase, the subscription renews monthly at the displayed price unless canceled.
Billing and cancellation
Payment is charged through your Apple Account and the App Store. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or App Store subscription settings. Deleting your Pollen Bear account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Restore Purchases and access
Restore Purchases is available for users who already purchased. Active subscribers may restore access after reinstalling the app, changing devices, or signing in again, subject to Apple and RevenueCat verification. If you cancel a paid subscription, Premium access remains available until the end of the active paid period unless the subscription has already expired.
Account deletion
You may request or use available controls to delete your Pollen Bear account. Account deletion removes or anonymizes Pollen Bear account data where applicable, but it does not cancel your Apple subscription and does not delete Apple, App Store, or RevenueCat purchase history that those services need to manage purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations. Pollen Bear may retain a minimal non-reversible eligibility record for a limited period to prevent repeated free-access abuse.
Refunds
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's App Store refund policies.
Community content
If you submit reports, feedback, corrections, or other content, you are responsible for what you submit. Do not submit unlawful, misleading, private, emergency, or sensitive medical information. We may review, remove, or ignore submitted content.
Bear Circle friends and messaging
If you use Bear Circle, Bear Circle features may allow you to create a chat profile, add friends, accept or decline friend requests, block users, send one-to-one text messages, and report users, messages, or conversations. Bear Circle is intended for supportive, respectful, allergy-related and community conversation. You are responsible for the messages, profile content, usernames or public profile identifiers, reports, and other content you submit.
Bear Circle acceptable use
If you use Bear Circle, use it respectfully and lawfully. Bear Circle usernames and public profile identifiers are used so friends can find and recognize each other. Do not use Bear Circle to harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive, spam, exploit, expose private information, or harm another person.
Bear Circle prohibited content
Do not submit Bear Circle content that includes harassment, bullying, threats, hate, sexual content, spam, impersonation, doxxing, illegal activity, exploitation, or private information about another person. Do not use Bear Circle to share medical misinformation, unsafe medical instructions, diagnosis, treatment instructions, emergency guidance, or content that could reasonably put another person at risk.
Bear Circle content review and safety tools
Pollen Bear may use automated or manual tools to help detect spam, abuse, or prohibited content. These tools may not catch every issue. Bear Circle users should use block and report controls when they see abusive, unsafe, or prohibited content.
Bear Circle moderation rights
Pollen Bear may review, hide, restrict, lock, remove, or preserve Bear Circle content when appropriate. We may lock conversations, hide messages, suspend chat profiles, restrict access to Bear Circle, or take other action to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. We may also dismiss reports when we determine action is not appropriate.
Bear Circle reports and blocking
Bear Circle may include tools to report a user, message, or conversation. Reports may be reviewed for safety and abuse prevention. Bear Circle may also include tools to block or unblock another user. Blocking is intended to reduce unwanted interaction, but it does not necessarily delete past messages, remove reports, or prevent Pollen Bear from reviewing prior content.
Bear Circle health disclaimer
Bear Circle messages are user-generated content. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency guidance, or professional health recommendations. Do not use Bear Circle for diagnosis, treatment decisions, medication decisions, emergency help, or unsafe medical advice. For medical concerns, consult a qualified clinician. For emergencies, contact emergency services.
Bear Circle message security
Pollen Bear may use reasonable safeguards for Bear Circle data, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. Do not send highly sensitive, emergency, or unnecessary medical information through Bear Circle. Unless Pollen Bear separately and clearly states otherwise, Bear Circle messages should not be treated as end-to-end encrypted.
Sharing and invites
Share cards, invite links, and referral features are optional. Do not use them to mislead others or share sensitive personal information. Shared previews may include only the specific milestone, heads-up, or invite context shown to you.
Third-party services
Pollen Bear may rely on third-party providers for maps, air quality, pollen, weather, geocoding, analytics, email, or hosting. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
No warranty
Pollen Bear is provided as-is and as-available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, exact data, global coverage, medical accuracy, or that the app will meet every need.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pollen Bear is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on app information.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
